Adam, a.k.a. Blanquito Flo.

I grew up in LA in a family of musicians. My academic background is in anthropology, and that lens came with me the first time I set foot on a dance floor in the Dominican Republic in 2018. Bachata wasn’t just something to learn. It was something to study.

Since then, I’ve gone back every year, going deeper into the culture, the musicology, and the history behind the art form with each trip. For six years, I’ve taught bachata internationally, carrying that research directly into every class.

My teaching style is rooted in playfulness and cultural awareness.

Bachata has been a form of therapy for me, an artistic outlet, and a conduit for real friendships and community. I teach to give other people that same confidence, creativity, and connection through movement.
